Just read the news at Apartment Therapy that the venerable House and Garden magazine will cease publishing after the December issue. At 106 years old this magazine is like the Queen mother of design and took the readers to places and homes most would never see. Conde Nast also publishes the wildly popular Domino magazine and maybe this shows the direction of design to a more casual and less formal way of life than was depicted in H&G. It was a lifestyle that hardly anyone can attain but was a lovely look at the most fantastic that design has to offer. They will be missed.
